Job Title QA Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up with the inspections and sorting of FG materials.
  • Work close with the sorting company for good instructions and sorting methods.
  • Observe and ensure all safety rules are followed by the QA members and sorting company.
  • Develop standard or visual aids and reports for sorting purposes.
  • Help during the ISO/TS internal and external audits.
  • Propose changes on ways and procedures in order to make the process more efficient and accurate.
  • Maintain close contact with the manufacturing plants in Mexico for feedback on quality issues.
  • Ensure FG material conditions are correctly identified and meet all customer requirements.
  • Judgment of Good and No Good parts using measurement tools and repair of defects based on skill level/hierarchy.
  • Support material handlers to move material using a forklift.
  • Perform tear-down inspections on wire harnesses.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual; English and Spanish preferred.
  • Available to travel between the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Excellent dimensional skills and attention to detail, including basic knowledge of the international metric system and the use of measurement instruments (measuring tape, caliper, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to work a second-shift schedule and overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in similar Quality Assurance duties; ISO/TS 16949 experience preferred.
